The display presents Ukrainian verguny dusted with sugar, the slit shape of each ribbon is clear across the pile, on a stoneware plate over rustic linen, with a sieve and wooden board nearby. Thin ribbons of fried dough, golden and lightly blistered, are pulled through a slit to form irregular twists; a generous layer of powdered sugar covers the surface.
